On December 13, as part of a working trip to the Jaykhun district, Chairman of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said visited the Mevakhoi Istikloliyyat farm located in the Mushfiki mahalla of the Dusti city jamoat and familiarized himself with the process of harvesting carrots and sowing early onions.
The Mevakhoi Istikloliyyat farm was established in 2015 on an area of 10 hectares of fertile land. Its director is Shukhrat Abdurozikhov, and the number of shareholders is 22 people.
According to the press service of the Khatlon region chairman, this year the following has been sown on the main sowing area: 2 hectares of onions, 1 hectare of wheat, 0.20 hectares of potatoes, 1 hectare of clover, 1 hectare of cotton, 2.50 hectares of melons, 5.50 hectares of carrots, 1 hectare of corn.
Of the main harvest, 60 tons of onions, 22 centners of cotton, 400 centners of melons, 50 to 55 centners of wheat, 200 centners of potatoes, 7 tons of corn, 160 tons of carrots have been collected for sale. Currently, 90 tons of carrots need to be collected.
Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said, having familiarized himself with the cultivation of early onions and the harvesting of carrots, instructed the managers to use the existing production capacities in order to make a greater contribution to ensuring food security.
The creation of conditions for a decent life for the residents of the Republic of Tajikistan depends on the development and progress of the agricultural sector, the comprehensive use of the existing potential of the industry is mandatory. The management of the farm believes that all production developments are directly related to the personal support and care of the respected Leader of the Nation, these efforts motivated the team to increase agricultural production.
Davlatali Said highly appreciated the experience of the farm in terms of effective and rational use of land, calling its activities an example and praise for other residents of the country.
