The 22nd session of the meeting of the people’s deputies of the Khatlon region of the sixth convocation was held in the meeting room of the executive body of the Khatlon region, chaired by the chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said.
The meeting was attended by the first deputy chairman of the region, deputy chairmen, heads of departments and heads of departments of the executive bodies of the regional state power, heads of regional organizations and institutions, chairmen of cities and districts of the Khatlon region, activists and representatives of the media.
The agenda includes the following: “Report of the Chairman of Khatlon Region in 2024”, “On the execution of the budget of Khatlon Region in 2023 and approval of the regional budget for 2025”, “On approval of the work plan of the Assembly of People’s Deputies and executive bodies of Khatlon Region for 2025. “On the formation of a regional election commission for the elections of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of Khatlon Region”, “On the formation of electoral districts for the elections of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of Khatlon Region”.
First, after the performance of the National Anthem, the meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said.
Then the report of the Chairman of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said for 2024 was heard. It was said that the activists and workers of the Khatlon region worked taking into account the instructions and directions of the esteemed Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, who expressed them in the next message to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and during working trips to the cities and districts of the region, and during this period they showed positive indicators and significant achievements, using all available opportunities to achieve the goals of sustainable development of the region and celebrate the national holiday of the 35th anniversary of State independence.
– It should be noted that 2024 has become a prosperous and successful year, because thanks to the working trips of the esteemed Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, who visited the Khatlon region 5 times during the year, 62 buildings and structures were built in the country in various sectors of the economy in cities and districts with the participation of the President of the country. In addition, as part of the working visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on November 7, about 100 more buildings and structures were put into operation, taking into account the creation of more than 1000 new jobs in the region.
It was said that the implementation of certain measures and the conscientious work of the workers of the region contributed to the fact that for eleven months of the current year, short-term development indicators of the Khatlon region increased by 8.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year and reached 27.9 billion somoni, its share in the total domestic product of the country was 27.2 percent.
During this period, tax collection, taking into account the extra-budgetary social tax, amounted to 2.5 billion 92.1 million somoni, or 103.8 percent. During the reporting period, 3.4 billion somoni, of which 2.4 billion somoni or 89.8% of budget funds were directed to social spheres (education, health care, culture, sports and social protection of the population).
