MEETING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF KHATLON REGION DAWLATALI SAID WITH FAISAL KARIM KUNDI GOVERNOR OF KHYBAR Pakhtunkhwa PROVINCE OF PAKISTAN
Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said received the Governor of the Khaybar-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan Faisal Karim Kundi and his delegation in the hall of the executive body of state power of the Khatlon region.
Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said welcomed the guests on their visit to the Khatlon region and considered the creation of a direct air route between Dushanbe and Islamabad important and timely for the further expansion of cooperation and development of the national economies of the two countries.
The regional chairman said that we attach great importance to friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan, based on mutual respect, and hope that in the future our two regions will expand cooperation in priority areas.
Khatlon region, which is close to Pakistan in terms of geographical location, can better benefit from Pakistan’s cooperation, trade and economic relations and investments. We are ready to purposefully use all opportunities to strengthen relations and cooperation between our countries,” said the head of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on expanding friendly relations in the economic, trade and investment spheres. At the same time, one of the issues of interest at this meeting was the creation of working groups to expand cooperation in the field of tourism.
Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan, expressed gratitude for the warm and sincere welcome and noted that we have been friends and loved ones in the past and will be even closer in the future.
Faisal Karim recalled with pleasure the direct flight between Islamabad and Dushanbe on June 27. By creating favorable conditions for investment, trade and tourism not only between Islamabad and Dushanbe, but also by establishing connectivity between other international airports of both countries.
– During our trip to Tajikistan, we have already learned and become acquainted with attractive places and attractive landscapes of your green and sunny country. Every year, thousands of people from Pakistan travel to other countries, including Turkey and Azerbaijan, for sightseeing and recreation. There is no shortage of fascinating and unique places to visit in Tajikistan. We can say with satisfaction that in the future hundreds of people from all over Pakistan will visit Tajikistan for tourism purposes,” added Faisal Karim.
The guests also showed interest in the green energy of Tajikistan and environmentally friendly agricultural products of the Khatlon region.
It has been said that we still need green energy in the future and investment in the energy sector can accelerate the development of this vital sector. Due to climate change and the effects of drought, our need for agricultural products has increased. With the support of entrepreneurs, we will be able to deliver the necessary agricultural products from the Khatlon region to other regions of Pakistan.
