On December 12, the twenty-second session of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of the Khatlon Region of the sixth convocation was held in the meeting room of the Executive Body of the Khatlon Region under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Khatlon Region Davlatali Said, Chairman of the Assembly of the Khatlon Region.
In the section on current affairs, the decision of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of the Shamsiddin Shokhin District dated September 25, 2024 No. 502 “On assigning the Palace of Culture of the Shamsiddin Shokhin District after Davlatmand Khola” was discussed.
On this issue, in accordance with Article 21 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the procedure for resolving issues of the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Tajikistan”, the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 31, 2009, No. 609 “On approval of the Procedure for naming and changing the name of state enterprises, railway stations, airports, organizations and institutions, schools, as well as physical and geographical objects” and Articles 8, 9 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On local authorities state power” the Assembly of People’s Deputies of Khatlon region made a decision.
All deputies voted unanimously, and the Palace of Culture of the Shamsiddin Shokhin district was named after Davlatmand Khol. The press service of the Chairman of Khatlon region reports.
It should be noted that Davlatmand Khol became famous for performing folk songs in his youth. Davlatmand Kholov sang his first song in 1963 at the age of 13 under the guidance of his father. From his father he inherited the ability to play many musical instruments and a love for the poetry of Maulona Rumi.
Davlatmand Khol is considered one of the great promoters of professional art in mountainous Tajikistan. During his creative career, he has made more than 150 creative trips to almost 100 countries around the world. His songs are popular not only in Tajikistan, but also in other Farsi-speaking countries.
