On December 4, a ceremony honoring the winners of the regional round of the republican competitions “Tajikistan – My Beloved Homeland”, “The Book of Wisdom-Glow” and “Science – the Torch of Knowledge” was held in the city of Bokhtar, the administrative center of Khatlon region. The winners of the competitions, their teachers and parents, deputy chairmen of cities and districts, representatives of education, science and culture took part in the ceremony.
The event began with a presentation of the winners’ achievements in the foyer of the House of Culture, where the Chairman of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said and other officials familiarized themselves with the achievements. Then, in the official part, the Chairman of the region greeted the audience with words of gratitude and emphasized the importance of these competitions.
Davlatali Said said that the republican competitions initiated by the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon have made a significant contribution to the development and strengthening of the culture of reading, science and knowledge, and art of Tajik origin over the past six years. This is a reason to rejoice that the level of these competitions in the Khatlon region is increasing year after year, and new knowledgeable and talented people are discovered.
According to the information provided, this year, students of the Khatlon region have achieved unprecedented success in the competition “The Radiance of Dawn Wisdom – Book”; 35 people won, of which 2 Grand Prix places, 3 first places, 11 second places and 19 third places were won.
At the same time, 21 representatives of the region were recognized as winners of the competition “Science – Enlightenment of Knowledge”. The increased participation of young people in these competitions shows that residents, especially young people, have an increased taste for reading and learning.
Davlatali Said proposed to declare 2025 the “Year of Reading Culture” in the Khatlon region, so that this initiative would contribute to strengthening the taste for reading and the spiritual development of society. The proposal was warmly received by the participants of the event.
At the end, the winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates, and the event ended with a rich cultural program of performances by the winners of the republican competition “Tajikistan My Beloved Homeland”.
