Today, November 19, in the small hall of the Executive Body of State Authority of Khatlon Region, the Chairman of the Region Davlatali Said met with representatives of the company “Shanghai SUS Environment” of the People’s Republic of China,
David Zhou, the first representative of the company in Central Asia, Chenqiao Zhou, manager, investor and accompanying employees. During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on expanding relations between the two friendly countries, expressed agreement and satisfaction with the implementation of projects in various spheres of the national economy of the Khatlon Region.
The head of the region Davlatali Said, noting the constructive goals of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, which are being implemented in cooperation with development partners, expressed the readiness of the region to strengthen cooperation and welcomed the visit of guests to the Khatlon Region.
The meeting discussed the topic of investing in and developing projects for the incineration of municipal solid waste to generate electricity.
During the conversation, it was said that Shanghai SUS Environment was founded in 2008 and has become a leading global provider of environmental solutions, especially in the field of waste-to-energy (WtE). The company provides services for investing, constructing and operating MSV plants. It is the largest furnace manufacturer in the world and the second largest investor in projects. WtE plants process municipal solid waste (WtE) into electricity as a sustainable source of green energy.
Representatives of this company expressed their readiness to implement an investment project for the incineration of garbage to generate electricity.
The implementation of this project will not only ensure a stable and environmentally friendly electricity supply, but will also contribute to the creation of jobs, training and social development of the region.
The head of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, spoke about cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China.
