Commissioning of the new building of the Central Hospital of Khovaling District
On September 5, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, in the Khovaling village jamoat of Khovaling district, lifted the veil from the memorial plaque and commissioned the new building of the Central District Hospital and got acquainted with the working conditions, activities and services in it.
The construction of the new hospital building was carried out as part of the implementation of the “Project for Improving Medical Care for Mothers and Children” in the amount of 3 million 410 thousand dollars. Construction work of this medical institution began in September 2022 and was completed in August 2024.
During the construction, engineers and builders of the Stroy Center company used high-quality domestic building materials and complied with standard requirements and norms.
The new medical facility consists of three buildings – a three-story main building, a basement, two two-story buildings, a boiler room, a warehouse for storing flammable materials, a water tower, a 250 kW/h power transformer, a 200 kW/h diesel generator and auxiliary buildings.
The Central Hospital has an adult admission department and a pediatric admission department with 80 beds, on this basis, internal medicine, surgery, emergency care, maternity, auxiliary and administrative departments have been prepared to provide services.
Along with the construction of the new building of the Central Hospital, the institution is equipped with modern medical devices and equipment, such as digital X-ray, oxygenators, ultrasound diagnostics, electric cardiac monitor, modern equipment for kidney diagnostics and treatment, bioanalyzer, artificial respiration devices, autoclave and sanitary equipment.
During the conversation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, gave useful recommendations to the hospital staff on improving their qualifications, improving the quality of medical services to the population, good communication and high responsibility in their work and activities.
The commissioning of the Central Hospital, equipped with modern medical devices and equipment, will contribute to improving the infrastructure of the district healthcare network, serving patients for the timely detection, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, presented two ambulances to the hospital staff in order to form the healthcare infrastructure, timely and high-quality medical care.
The hospital courtyard is landscaped, more than 105 decorative, shade-forming trees, shrubs, flowers are planted on it.
With the commissioning of the new building of the Central Hospital in the Khovaling district, 125 medical workers are provided with jobs.
Specialists and employees of healthcare institutions by introducing standards of medical care for diagnosis and treatment can ensure sustainability and access of the population to treatment.
It should be noted that there are 48 medical institutions in the Khovaling district, in which 374 doctors and nurses provide medical services to 62,295 residents of the Khovaling district.
It should be recalled that along with other goals defined by the “Strategy for the Protection of Health of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period up to 2030”, the development of the healthcare sector, the formation of the infrastructure of the sector and, taking into account the population growth, the construction of modern medical institutions will be ensured. Thus, in just 6 months of 2024, 34 healthcare institutions were built and commissioned in the republic, 110 institutions in the sector were repaired and reconstructed.
