During a working visit on September 1, the Chairman of the Khatlon Region Davlatali Said took part in the opening of an additional building in the village of Vahdat, Jilikul jamoat of the Dustinsky district in front of the general education institution No. 48.
According to the project, the building consists of one floor and has 4 classrooms, a library and a director’s office.
The customer and contractor of the facility is a charitable public organization of Tajikistan, construction work began in 2023 and was completed in 2024.
The Chairman of the Khatlon Region talked with teachers and students and instructed them to contribute to the prosperity of the country through successful studies and active work.
The teachers also expressed gratitude for such a gift on the eve of the start of the new school year and promised to educate the younger generation in the spirit of self-knowledge and self-awareness.
Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said added that in the 2023-2024 academic year, 867 thousand 185 students were enrolled in general education institutions of the region, which is 23 thousand 150 more than in the previous academic year.
It should be noted that in 2023, 95 general education institutions were created in the cities and districts of the region for more than 260 million somoni for 17,402 places, and in 8 months of 2024, 32 general education institutions with 213 classrooms for 10,650 places were created at the expense of all sources of funding. Schools were built and renovated in two shifts for more than 60 million somoni, students were provided with favorable conditions for learning.
