As part of the “Water and Glaciers” conference-festival, national dishes, traditions, customs, culture and civilization of the people of Khatlon were presented.
The festival was attended by representatives of the republican government, representatives of ministries and departments, officials and high-ranking representatives of international organizations around the world, the diplomatic corps of Tajikistan, experts and scientists, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Khatlon region Abdusalomzoda Anzurat.
The festival in honor of water and glaciers is intended to present the experience of the Republic of Tajikistan as a leading country in promoting water issues on the global agenda and to attract the international community to the UN resolutions declaring 2025 the International Year of Glacier Protection and March 21 as World Glacier Day for Humanity, issues related to change climate change, glacier protection and eliminating water shortages on the planet are important and timely and are considered one of the most important achievements. countries in the international arena.
